He disclosed that because of the curses, persons who hitherto were either planning to rig the elections in favour of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) or intimidate voters had to reconsider their decision.
“I met one NDC member at Jaman and he said they refused to carry out some operations because they were afraid of being struck by thunder and lightning as I prayed for while sacrificing a lamb to the gods”, he said.
Abronye DC as affectionately called, added that it protected the integrity of the polls as no resident was prepared to incur the wrath of dreaded gods and deities in the Brong Ahafo region calling a bluff of all those who are asking him to revoke the curses.
“It really worked and I have no regrets at all invoking those curses at the time. It worked to perfection as I desired”, he revealed on Abusua Nkomo hosted by Kwame Adinkra.
It would be recalled that on the last day of November 2016, Abronye DC invoked curses on Madam Charlotte Osei the chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Permanent and temporal workers of EC and Security Agencies.
According to him, if they dared rig the elections in favour of NDC then the god of thunder should wipe all their nuclear families from the face of the earth. He then sacrificed a sheep to the gods and promised them the children of every victim of the curse.
He again invoked another curse on the security men and women who will attempt to intimidate NPP supporters or aid NDC in their alleged rigging plans on Election Day.
